Reverb can't keep it up.....

I don't know much about these things (I have a Lev)......but what would cause it to not be able to stay up? Pressing the remote button sends it up but when you but weight on it, it drops a few inches. Air pressure is fine and it has been bled (although it will be bled again just to be sure).

Tried mixing a crushed Viagra tablet into the oil but it made no difference.

Discuss.

I had to warranty mine twice for a similar issue. They said they had a batch with faulty internal seals but that was 18+ months back now.

Edit - Repeating what everyone else said.
I was going to throw in making sure the cable is routed well and inner cable isn't catching at any point, but it sounds like greater knowledge above might be on the money...

Mine has been fine since the initial problem was solved.

They don't have the best reputation of the droppers on the market though.

Opps. Shot down in a blaze of glory.... At the least the cable can't bind if there isn't one I guess. Moving on...
In saying that I do love my Lev!

Often it turns out to be a leak from the inner seal head, caused when the seal head unscrews itself from the upper post and the O-ring squidges out.

I have only dealt with stealth ones. Usually I just refill the oil and screw in the sealhead and it works again. Fashioned a "fluid level gauge" from a syringe and drinking straw cut to length.

Definitely do-able if you can be arsed or are out of warranty. Good manual online (for the stealth at least).

I had a 2012 reverb that was doing this. Common issue with them, needs to be fixed by manufacturer. Buy a KS Lev

Next time you ride, maybe try fantasising you are riding a KS Lev and that will keep your rockshox up.
I have found with certain other extra curricular activities if I imagine something that is an improvement on the current, my performance result is greatly enhanced.

Post went back for warranty. Yes, a Lev is preferable (I have one, as stated) but a brand new Reverb is a good result.

I've had a Rockshox Reverb Stealth for 10 mths and of those it has failed 3 times.Same problem every time-drops oil and does not return fully. So annoying.Send it back for warranty, wait minimum 8 weeks for return works for 4 weeks or so then fails again.
I am considering a Thomson covert elite or KS Lev.I have read mostly good user reviews about the KS but have not found much written about the Thomson.
Has anyone out there got a Thomson and are you happy with it?
