Oil leaking left ie Air spring side Pike

Bought a 2016 Pike Solo Air from a burner.
The fork is great but a dribble of oil comes from the air spring side left.
I gather this is only for lubrication .
Does it drip down into the negative spring if I put in extra oil ?

Coming from the base of the lowers Rowdy, or at the top?

If the bottom of the lowers, it probably just needs a new crush washer on the bolt. If around the top, then maybe a new o-ring on the top cap.

2. Wiper seals if the stanchion is super wet and it’s dribbling everywhere

3. Crush washer under bolt that holds the air spring rod to the lowers.

Thanks yeah from top cap so just a new O ring .

Let out the air. Pulled the top cap off ,O ring seemed a bit slack , prolly the oil had just leaked out.
Put 10 mls of oil in , replaced o ring with similar ,will get exact size , inflated fork > all good.

Another question is who fudges o rings a bit ,
Although I have 2 boxes of O rings + some special kits, sometimes its difficult to get the exact one even from a shop.
Who stretches o rings with bigger CS crosssection but smaller ID if necessary ?

Depends on the application.

For an air spring or oil chamber, where the dimensions are critical to prevent leaks, I wouldn't usually do it.

You can cut and join o rings with cyanoacrylate glues.

Yes, I have done plenty on farm equipment and trucks.

Now leaking from number 2 position .
Seals .
Just did my first seals on a Fox 32 without tool ,have one ordered.

Did the Pike fork today, so easy to put in seals with the correct tool .
Its 2016 still a beautiful fork ,the leaking side was oily but no oil ran out ,the other side the oil was pretty dirty.
Glad I did it .

Pikea are a great fork. Keep an eye out for a Luftkappe.
