When: Saturday - Cross Country – National Championships
10:45 AM ELITE WOMEN, U23, U19 – Commonwealth Games Selection Race
12:45 PM ELITE MEN, U23 - Commonwealth Games Selection Race
Sunday - 2- 4 PM SHORT TRACK Cross Country NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Where: Mt Beauty, Victoria (near Falls Creek)
Facts:
* 2nd and final selection race for the Australian Cross Country Mountain Bike Team for Melbourne Commonwealth Games on 23 March.
* 3 men and 3 women from Australia may make the final Games Team.
* Winners of Round 3 (the first selection race) on the Games course at Lysterfield are now put up for selection. They are Chris Jongewaard(Adelaide) and Claire Baxter(Melbourne).
* Athens Olympians who will also be competing to get a Games berth – Sid Taberlay (Hobart), Lisa Mathison (Bris) & Josh Fleming (Sydney).
* Other Age Divisions for Cross Country are being run on Saturday and Sunday morning.
* First time the Short Track Championships have been run and the winners will be the first ever National Championships.
