Mud Guards

Hey,
I'm looking at getting a mud guard for the rear of my bike. However im not interested in anything attaching to the seatpost. I was thinking of making something to fit into the the inside of the frame, at the top of the seatstays.

I was thinking something made out of carbon, attached via cable ties or something similar? Has anyone made something like this or tried to?

Cheers
Chris

Is this to protect the shock/pivots/other bits from mud and gunk or to try and keep yourself clean?

If it's to protect your bike, what sort of bike are you using?

Its not to protect anyform of shock pivotes or anything. Its to keep myself and my bike abit cleaner

Im riding an xtc 2.

Basically what im thinking is something similar to the v10 shock guard but placed on the seatstay instead othe chainstay.

Carbon Fibre or Carbon? Good luck with the latter :p. I remember seeing a picture of someone who made their own one on the "DIY Bike parts" thread. Ill try dig it up.
