Magura Maintainence

Hello all.

Ive come across a set of Magura Marta SL's, and they need to be bled.
Of course they dont run DOT fluid, its a mineral oil....

...but will using Shimano mineral oil instead of "Magura blood" mineral oil
damage any of the components or effect the performance of the brake?

I already have a big bottle of Shimano mineral oil, and dont want to buy
Magura stuff if it is (almost) exactly the same.....

Any help appreciated.

It is the same stuff, it wont matter, ive used Shimano Mineral oil in Magura's before.

Same thing, Different price tag.

No problems. Even cheaper though (if you didn't already have the Shimano mineral oil) is Castrol's mineral oil made for clutch and brake systems of some older cars. Is perfect and costs about $6 for 120 gallons of the stuff.
