Finally got around to making a video of the new trail "aneurysm" at Lysterfield.

I really enjoy this trail. It's fast, and has a bunch of fun features to hit.

As usual, Rate, comment and subscribe as it really helps me out.

Thanks.

To be honest I have no idea.

This video was taken about 4 weeks ago I think. At that stage there was no signange or anything like that at the start of the trail. But I think the start is now taped off. I have no idea why it's not officially open yet as the trail rides perfectly and has B lines for safer options.

Head/Chest cam footage never gave trails much juctice IMO, but it looks like a decent fun one. Looks flowy at least, which is more than I can say about some of the other Lys. trails (not all...).

Cant quite tell from the vid, but many of the jumps seem to be to flat landings tho - is that right / something you thought? Being mostly a DH'er, none of the jumps up there ever really "scratched my itch", but I suppose they arent really aiming to cater for my type up there and thats fine - plenty of other places!

Definately would be good to have a few more technically challenging up there...

What happened to the small gap at the end?
It had tape around it, so I cut the video short, someone broke their collarbone on it about 2 months ago. Perhaps that's why the trail is "closed"

About 90% of the jumps are flat landing, and the trail really isn't that technical, but I feel it's a step in the right direction for Lysterfield.

Give it a crack mate, it's good fun for a local trail.

I rode aneurysm a while ago. I didnt break my collar bone, but did manage to crash the double at the end.... This vid shows just how bad I am! You can skip to near the end for the crash.

Some great vids, if only I could film my run for everyone to laugh at, anyways I went down it for the first time on Sunday morning and thought it was quite good but the one thing I didn't like was that before most of the turns in the later part of the run they had mini jumps or what I would call sped bumps right before them which means you couldn't carry any sped into the turns, and when you have berms there is sort of pointless, none the less was. Nice little run which I will start doing in my circuit...

^^ Agreed. Not knocking, looks like a good fun track, but the term AM is getting thrown around way too easily these days I think. Just because a good bit of single track has a couple of half bike length gaps, a 1 foot drop off and a few berms, it isn't an AM trail. Klingsporn is an AM trail. But as I said I'm not knocking, looks like lotsa fun and am keen to get out there soon for some good trails.

It runs beside the Comm/State XC Loop down onto Lamberts.

Both it and Follow me are on the updated trail map, but are still closed.
I rode it the other/week and there were no signs or tape across the start or any other part of the track, any reason why it is still closed? Everyone seems to know about it and that it has been finished for a month or so...

The reason why it's still closed is because there are no signage for the trail and it hasn't been officially opened. Parks has been preoccupied with fighting fire elsewhere......
They have been putting warning taps at the start of the trail. But people just kept ripping it down and ignoring it. There has been quite a few ambo called out in the last month, so we are very fearful that Parks will just say tear it all down for good! And that will be a great shame coz LDTR and the volunteers has put so many hours into building it.
The trail is not hard for some of the riders! But how do you keep the rest off it, coz they are the one crashing and hurting themselves?
We will know by Monday what Parks is planning to do with Aneurysm!
