kripes!!! man triple clamps look bad on dj bikes IMO, however they look fine on norco freeride bikes

Holy fuck no way ......Thats mostly because they are not made to take that lenght travel. If you are stupid enough to put tripples on a HT you do deserve every little bit of cracked frame/forks that might up inside you WHEN your bike starts catostrophically fail.

Umm im taking it you didnt just read the above replies.

Triple clamps are a big NO on DJ bikes.

But yes, you can start DH on the hardtail, a single crown fork with 120-160mm travel should be fine.
