Why is this so.
Have been doing a bit of roadying on my mountain bikes and have been surprised by the Strava figures.
Slowest to fastest bikes in order of photos, mind-blowing which is the fastest

@cokeonspecialtwodollars there is a point where the helmet starts wearing you for protection
Poor old helmet is really just along for the ride at this point.

Let's say I'm 80kg, a rapid deceleration from 90km/h over a quarter of a second is going to result in a single point impact force of 8kN or approximately 8T, I know that I'm not going to survive that helmet or none and I've already made peace with my gods about this. The helmet is really there to protect against the silly little low speed falls that could result in me having to live a long rest of my life with a brain injury. At the end of the day we all take the risks we are comfortable with.

Plenty of roadies have crashed at 90kph+. It ends in load of injuries but if the helmet breaks that first head hit on the ground, there's a lot better chance of getting away without brain damage.
You might also be doing 70, 80, 90km/h+ before crashing, but get some braking in before you bin it and "only" come off at 30-40km/h where a helmet could make a very significant difference.

Back on topic, @safreek if the Astrix was the fastest - maybe it's the magic of the CrankBrothers wheels?
