ISIS BB thread protrusion

Installed the BB until tight, but the drive side has the neat trim ring, the non-drive side is left with about 3mm thread protrusion.

Had a shop check it out and said that's how it was, all ok. Any other thoughts or feedback? And if it's correct, any way to clean it up?

BTW this is a 68/118 BB which was the standard size for that frame.....

Perfectly normal. About the same as a shimano ISIS BB i had.

Is the BB 68/73 or 68 specific? It is a little more thread than normally hangs out I'd have thought but if your chainline is fine, no problem.

It's this one, the E-type which they say has a "slightly longer shell".

PS cheers guys, good to know nothing too wrong with it - I may try spacers on the drive side if I have any.
