Hey all i recently became a member of MTBA at round 2 at Long Gully on the 9/9/12.
I had a crash on the day, saw the medic there and he said it wasnt broken.
After riding both my race runs in extreme pain i went home and went to the hospital where i found out that i severly fractured my finger had to get 3 screws in it and am off work for a month.
Now this is where it gets tricky.............................. who do i actually contact to see about my income protection ?
I emailed my club that i joined through (FTF) and still have not got a response.
From what i read i should be covered for $500 a week for 10 weeks ???
Any help would be greatly appreciated and my wallet will be thanking use aswell.
Cheers
Dan.

As far as I know you will need to go through the club committee - treasurer perhaps? Also the income protection generally starts after the first 30 days. So < 1 month off = no cash.

Thanks for the info peeps.
I thought there might of been some 1 month thing.
On the mtba site it says $500 a week for up to 10 weeks, so does that mean you have 10 weeks worth of cover after that month passes ??
Also would anybody have a clue how to get in contact with the race commisioner ??
Thanks peeps am quite the noob and cant wait to get back on the saddle.
Cheers
