Help If I Can.....

Dear All...

Firstly, nice to see a trials forum on Farkin. Hopefully another step forward for the growth of trials in Australia.

From the look of the threads already posted here, it seems to me that most of you reading this are kinda new to trials. That's cool. Nice to see people getting excited about it.

So, just want to extend my hand and offer any help I can to anyone needing info about competitions, bike setup, learning moves..... Whatever. I know AyKay has posted here a bit, and he and I will also try to get a few more of the experienced guys to post here occasionally too.

Just one thing though. If you have a question, do a quick scan or search of the forums to make sure there isn't already a thread about what you want to ask. No point clogging up the forum with 200 threads about what bike to run.

Anyways, that's it from me for now, look forward to talking and riding with you all in the future.

Keep it real,

yeah there seems to be a lot of threads just on what bike to get, instead of help with parts, etc.

People like Adam and Aykay are definately the right people to ask questions about trials. They also both play huge roles in organising comps etc.. if you have questions they will have answers.

Macbeth, or any other experienced trials riders... just an idea... but maybe post up a trick tips thread? seeing as there are a lot of us noobs out there wanting to learn a thing or two about trials. Also any comp dates/locations would be great... I enjoyed the one in Arcadia and will love to know about any others??

Trials Freaks

Hey Fellas,

I am pretty new to trials and am building up the bike and learning tricks etc. I am pretty keen to go to comps if there are some in Melbs.

My rig is a Kona Scrap which was a DJ machine but is now a bit better set up for trials. I am about to get rid of the huge, slow marzocchi DJ fork (see ebay) for a lighter fox vanilla RS 125. Also upgrading the weak Hayes Soles to Hayes 9's with 8 disks front and (maybe) back. Also fitted SRAM rear setup. Brilliant gears they are. Survived the 12hr enduro with no adjustment or complaint.

I would also support the "Tricks" thread - however if anyone wants some education I strongly suggest you check out the site below. Its good.

Make sure to check "Instructional Videos".
