Give this man a job, we want pics!
I've been having a dig around on here for info after finding these on CRC and i've got a question or 2...
Can I use El Camino for Downhill?
How well do they perform?
Are they easy to service?
The reason i'm asking is because they are listed for $104(front) and $88(rear) on CRC.
The only negative things I found on here is one person stated that El Camino's fade fairly quickly if they're exposed to heavy braking and another person said the pistons have a habit of getting stuck.
The other thing that's bothering me - how easy is it to set them up? I've done brake bleeding before and it's easy as, my dilemma here is connecting the hoses, do I need specialist tools?
I'm currently running an old set of Hayes 9's and while they still cut the mustard i'm thinking it's time to retire them from active service as they are 2002-pedigree.
I'd go for another brand such as Shimano Saint or maybe try the Hayes Stroker range but they are outside my budget.
