Every day or 2, a gumtree user posts various bikes up for sale such as this one: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/1082582461
When I have called about a previous bike (which is no longer on gumtree) I was a bit suspicious when he said that he is selling to upgrade, yet had the upgraded version for sale too. He uses a couple of different accounts from what I can see (same photo location, same suburb etc)
If anyone recognises a bike that MAY not be legitimately the sellers, best to contact the seller for his address and provide this to the police for investigation.
There was also a Trek Superfly a week or so back that was selling for $300 in Chelsea but was taken off later the same day (bike was around $4500 brand new) so this raised concerns that it was possibly a stolen bike.
Only posting this for people to keep an eye out. I'm not saying the bikes are dodgy, just saying that there are some concerns.
