I've put (A) and (B) against the trails that this applies to, so if you can break down your recommendations this far, then that would be great.I guess that raises the issue: are these ratings based on hitting all the A-lines or just generally riding the trails? For example Abom at Buller would be intermediate if you took all of the B lines, but expert if you hit all the A lines.
Good work, list is looking good. Has Pins and Needles had some new A lines built in the last few months? Stands out as the only one in the wrong category. Thanks for the info fellas, I've updated the first post.
Whoops, good pickup! ... was multi-tasking and put that in by accident. Was thinking of another certain trail near that one.Good work, list is looking good. Has Pins and Needles had some new A lines built in the last few months? Stands out as the only one in the wrong category.
And Klingsporn is probably advanced, tight, technical and hard on bike and body for most of the ride. Very tough at the end of the day.Wombat out at Woodend is an intermediate XC track.
There's also Pinhead and Warpij out at Warburton, but I don't think they ever got officially opened after all the build days and I heard they are now a bit overgrown. Both would be intermediate with B lines and expert with A lines.
And Granton DH, which is probably expert (if you're on a trail bike).
Also at Buller there's Yellow Post, Stonefly descent, Corn Hill descent and the Epic descent, all intermediate. Delatite is beginner.
Last I heard Klingsporn was closed to riders. And Klingsporn is probably advanced, tight, technical and hard on bike and body for most of the ride. Very tough at the end of the day.
Yep K is walking track only now. Yay for the all of the walkers that you come across.Last I heard Klingsporn was closed to riders.
closed but still completely rideable, got the chance to ride it a couple of months back.Last I heard Klingsporn was closed to riders.
Agree with this - I was taken by surprise several times whilst hitting it at speed on a 130mm trail bike!Bright:
Hero Trail - Beginner / Intermediate / Expert (really depends on your speed and what you're hitting as everything can be rolled, or you can pin it and send it)
Maldon is very rough and rocky. What's Maldon like ?
Are there many tracks, other then the dh race?
Heard there is a pretty cool creek gap. Is it bigger then the turbulence one?
Thanks
