good xc frame with v brake mounts

Correct! My XtC frame (bought from eBay, Asia) has V brake bosses.

arc's can be bought as frame only and there expensive. think around $1400.

Yeti do sell ARC's as a frame only......orice wise I think you're looking at about $1600. Do yourself a favour!

I was farting round on ebay n came across something worth looking at. I would get it myself due to it being quite rare, but i dont need it n cant afford it. Dont think warranty is offered which is a bummer but it looks sweet, has carbon, and is pretty cheap, have a squiz...

Ebay seems the go for cheap hardtail frames, just type in "xtc" or "frame" in "cycling" n u'll be sure to find old frames with v brake bosses.

Hey The BMC frame should be here either tomorrow or early next week. I'm at Beechworth racing this weekend, but will weigh it and post a review + pics as soon as i get my hands on it!
