I love the charcoal finish, but nothing beats carbon !!!!!
So 4 hours, blisterd fingers and a constantly over heating hairdrier later........

I like the gold upper and D-links on this reign, but the red/black thing I had going didnt go so well.....so out came the rattle can!

Unfortunately...... I came from a small frame where the old reign's head tube was only 130mm, whereas the new large frame has a 165mm........
consequently, my stem is a MASSIVE 18mm ABOVE the steerer tube

so if anyone is selling or fork hunting, please PM me, I'd be interested with a Fox fork that has a longer steerer tube 225mm~ (must be black and have 150mm~ travel, preferably non tapered and 20QR)

Wow! Can you give me some more info with the carbon product? Looks great
I've had it for a while with the intention of using it on my old bike, but it was a small so I was reluctant to spend time and effort on it. So I held it off

I bought it on eBay
Come in a roll (60cm x170cm) for a few bucks!!!!!!

Well, my new ride doesn't exist yet because in typical piss weak Australian bike industry tradition it takes more than a week to send a box from a warehouse to a store. I wonder why everyone is shopping overseas?

So true, so true !
and Efficiency aside.....PRICES do it for me!

I had to pay $10 for a BLOODY shifter cable !

looks sweet! was it hard to put the carbon stuff on
Mate, if I had to do it again, I'd just save the money and buy the real thing! it was a Fcuking biatch to apply, esp the top tube with the massive bend !!!!

numb thumbs, sore fingers, nasty blisters !!!! not worth it !!!!

Was servicing her today because the front mech started to shift too far up (off the middle ring and landing onto the bash guard)
no amount of tightening, adjusting, fiddling, playing, screwing, pulling, ANYTHING !!!!! made it better!!! :(

Then a problem I had with the old reign popped into my head....does the lower D-link hit anypart of the derailluer? So, I took off the shock, compressed the rear triangle.... and surprise! surprise!... the derailluer is in the way !!!! the D-link hits the derailluer before the shock gets to bottom out (prob why the shifting went off after a few jumps off kerbs)

apologies if i make not sense...but pictures might help.....
when the air is out of the shock and i compress the bike to its furtherest here is the result:

It clearly has not reached its full stroke, and the derailluer has gotten in the way!!!

you may say 'ohh just move up the derailluer......but my chain is already kissing the cage when shifted to the smallest rear cog

therefore its not an option to move it up.....does that just mean i have the wrong front mech?????

Will I be better off with a front mech with a high clamp such as this one?

or am I just shit at installing/adjusting it properly and i missing something entirely !?!?!?!?!

What was the total cost of this build if you don't mind me asking?

I'll be building a reign soon and would be interested to know its value.

if you sell me Garth's old forks ill tell you :p

to be honest.... i lost count
this hobby that i first picked up for fitness has become a very pricey toy

bought almost everything new either from fleabay or CRC etc

its MUCH cheaper to just buy a whole new bike from a bike shop !!!!!

if if i knew i would spend the money i did + time....i wouldve just gone and bought an SB-66
