Garmin hr straps

Heyy,
Just a quick question. Got a garmin edge 305 and looking to upgrade to the 800. Will the hr strap off the 305 work on the 800? Will save me buying the whole lot.

A long as the strap is an Ant+ one it should be fine.
The strap off my Forerunner 305 works on my edge 500

sorry for the highjack but my 305 strap won't work with my 305. Changed the battery. No difference. Bent the battery terminals, didn't help. Any ideas? It's 4 years old. Thought it might just be past it.

I've got 2 spare HR straps from my old 705. Unfortunately the 705 fell off in the woods one day and was never found (by me).

So if you want to try these, just send me pim.
