Formula caliper bore cap tool

i've tried, without luck, to source the tool to remove the bore cap on Formula RX calipers.

does anyone a) know where i can get one, or b) know how to remove it without one?

if all else fails, i'm going to try use an L bracket like so filed down to fit in between the 2 opposing grooves. i'm not overly concerned about wrecking the finish on the ones i'm removing, however i was hoping i could install the new ones a little more gently (L bracket in a cloth? i presume they wont need a lot of torque applied)

Make your own pin spanner ?

Drill 2 holes at the correct centres , fit 2 bolts with a nut tightened each side of your "handle" holding the bolts snug. Insert the protruding bolt threads into your bore cap.
The right sized bolts at the correct centres should work. If not , drill 2 more holes and fit bolts to them to pick up all 4 points of the bore cap.

Or buy the right tool.
