Rode the 109Km last year in its inaugural running.
I'll possibly be giving the solo 205km a crack this year!

It's not aimed at Singletrack Junkies but definitely takes in some cracking scenery

Estimated climbing:

205km Epic = 2200m
109km Epic = 1200m
64km Epic = 750m

Hopefully 205, entered 109 and will see how I feel after the Simpson Desert Challenge.

Awesome event, I did it last year and enjoyed it more than the races I travelled interstate for in the past year.

The Flinders NP is awesome too, plenty for the whole family.

I may SS the 205 in prep for the Jet Black 24hr late Nov... but it was fun to smash out the 109km with gears last year.....

Bump again to say that I'm in for the 109 and a nice week off in the Flinders Ranges with the family...

Now the decisions...duallie or hardtail (rigid or do I steal the fork off the duallie)?

You planning on doing much other riding or just the Flinders 109?
Not really (mainly because I think the 109 will nearly do me in!!). Rest of the family aren't up for it. They'll have their bikes but it'll just be short cruisy stuff. Hopefully, we'll do more walking instead.

Was scratching my head trying to work out where I've seen that picture before, then pulled up this photo from our mawson trail trip last week.

Beautiful country up there, and at least when we were there the tracks were all in pretty good condition.

Too true...we were there a couple of years ago but got crook while we were out there so that compromised a few more strenuous efforts. Funniest part was the little bloke falling asleep in the bike seat just 1km into the Mawson going north out of Wilpena...I had to give up because his helmet brim was poking me in the kidneys and nearly prompted a spontaneous arse explosion.

Seriously considering the Twinzer for this one...can I do a carbon forked steel hardtail for 109 km? It's good for Mallee singletrack for 50 km...but then there is the Anthem and the rest of the week to think about!!
