The guys at FTF, Plush DH Shuttles and Long Gully have decided to put on a fund raising night to also coincide with their last DH shuttle night for the day light saving season. Instead of the usual Thurs night, they have moved it to Fri 28th March so everyone can come along and make an evening of it.
Ben Reynolds has kindly offered to also use the evening as a fund raiser for Luke. Luke unfortunately had an accident riding DH at Warby in Dec and consequently is now confined to a wheel chair. There are some very positive signs for Luke in that he may get the use back of his legs one day but at this point in time he is paralyzed from the waist down. We will use this evening to draw attention to his plight and raise some much needed funding to help him get on the road to recovery. A raffle will be held with donated goods from Yarra Valley Cycles, Sram and others with that money and a portion of the evenings fees all going into a fund for Luke.
Come out for a few runs of the new and improved Long Gully with 5 different tracks to choose from, enjoy a drink and BBQ afterwards and help out a fellow rider in need.
Where: 330 Long Gully Road Healesville
Time: Shuttles start at 5pm on the dot and run till sunset.
Date: Fri 28th March
Cost: $20 for FTF Club members, $25 non members plus $10 for a day license. Includes drinks and a BBQ to end the evening and bring a few spare coins for the raffle as there will be some quality product up for grabs.
Click on the link below to see a few pics from late last year of the property for those that have never been there. Benny has been hard at work rebuilding all the trails and a couple of the jumps as well.
