Exploding E13 LG1

Anyone else have this problem in the past? This was my second upper slider - first time it exploded in exactly the same way.

Bike is a steel HT used for XC/Trail.

Yer I have busted one my self.I over tightened the bolt it got a small crack in it an that was it.one ride ride later it snapped off.so dont over tighten the new one.

See the two hairline cracks above the mounting bolt? That's what you get when you over tighten the mounting bolt.

When you fit the new one, put extra locktite on the bolt, rather than rely on the stuff that they put on in the factory, and just nip it up.
