Hi guys I'm thinking of giving 4X a go and are considering these bikes.
The Eastern has a 72 degree head angle which I think mat be a bit steep for 4X
Any thought on any of these bikes for 4X - or could I go ss like a night train
Cheers:)

Haro Steel reserve

I have just ordered an 09 haro steel reserve ss and i am planning to ride 4X, DJ and street on it. they are a great frame and have awesome components. also a ss is better for this type of riding as if you bail you don't have to worry to much about anything breaking ( such as rear hangers/derailuars !! And i know this happens as i work in a bike store and have seen about 6 dj bikes in the last month come in with busted rear hangers or rear derailuars in the back wheel.

but in the end it is what is most comfortable for you to ride !!

gday a good friend of mine has the new norco 125 and for 4x it is great the gears are better for 4x in my opinion and it has a stable feel to the frame.
the spec is also quite good if not a little heavy for all out 4x.
cheers

How about Chase 1

Thanks for the input guys
I am currently looking at a chase 1
similar componentry to the 125
The chase seems to have a good name though
How would it go for 4X?
