Eatons Cutting is a part of the Red Hill area, but is an unsanctioned section about 2km east of the upper formal trailhead. There is a bit of parking at the top of Eatons Cutting Track, opposite Red Hill School, but still a bit of roll & push to get to the top of the trails, as the top hub is a fair way behind a locked gate.

Absolute mudder today haha. Packed up at lunch as it was pelting down. Wash bike and change and sun comes out of nowhere for 2 hours. I get ready to gear up and it comes in again and pours. As i leave it stops…
