Having actually OWNED both of them... I can say that I couldn't put a dent in either of em. If you can damage either one you're doin pretty bloody well.

What about Halo Combats. I'v seen one on the rear of Bender's Army a while ago. There white, and beefy. Anyone else seen, or have something to say about these rims?

I've only ridden a shogun trailbreaker but that doesn't stop me wanting/loveing a whole range of other bikes.. like that 24 PornKing frame... that looks roxorz.

and who couldn't be in love with the likes of those brooklyn bikes and cliffcats that I see pictures of posted so regularly...

love probably is not quite the right word to use but it'll do

am I wrong?
so how can you say thats it's impossible to love something that you've never ridden?

I don't need a science degree to know that anything would kick ass over my trailbreaker
thats why i'm saving to buy something

Long live the trailbreaker! Mine lasted me ages, well sorta....after two sets of forks, two complete drivetrains, three back wheels and some other assorted bits the frame finally gave up the ghost. But it had lasted me a long time, until I was in a better position to get a new bike.

Don't turn this into a hate fest now
Not my intension at all. I like to keep the peace just as much as the next guy.

Think about it though, how can anyone reccomend a product they have never used ? Maybe because all the kids at Pinkbike or NSMB said so ?? If i want those kind of useless reccomendations i'll go over to www.flowerart.com and ask them what wheels they reccomend.

how do you know when your frame has "given up the ghost"?

mines still ok but it creaks abit, and the brakes are useless since the guy at the bike shop put v-brake type levers on and i have cantilever brakes (think he was trying to get me to spend money on v-brakes). oh and the rear rim is wonky and flat spotted. (think i spotted a bent spoke or two the other day)

The creaking is more than likely just your cranks or somthing, maybe if your not too good at working on ya bike it might be time to put it in for a service. You'll be surprised at what a good wrench can do with a bent/buckled rear wheel.(though they'll neve get rid of ya flat spots)

But they can put a matching one on the other side if you want, at least then it's symmetrical :p .

I put it in for a service before I started riding again,
they said they couldn't do anything with the rear wheel
and they put on those v-brake levers which arn't working very well at all

when i asked for a service i kinda expected them to check the bearings in places like the hubs, headset, cranks? but pretty sure they didn't touch those areas

brake pads weren't aligned very well when i got it back either

it seems if i want a good job done i'm gonna have to get the tools and learn to do it myself
