1st Place - RedAss NSW/ACT State Downhill Rd 2
The question was asked, will domination continue at Coffs for David Maggs after winning at Del Rio? The answer is DOMINATION CONTINUES! David wins by a whopping 10 seconds to his next competitor at the fantastic Rd 2 of the Red Ass Downhill NSW/ACT State Series organised by Rocky Trail Entertainment at Coffs Harbour. It was an intense moment when David took off at the start gate as it literally rained minutes prior to his start, giving him the most difficult and slippery conditions to work with. But both David and the Deubel 2UP 7” prototype conversion kit were up for the challenge and took the win with a very fast time. 3rd Place - Rocky Trail’s XC 4hr Grand Prix – Awaba, 17th June
Yes the 2UP has done it again for the Cross Country Shimano 4hr Grand Prix, Rd 2 at Awaba, organised by Rocky Trail Entertainment. Competing in the Junior mixed team category for Deubel Bicycles was Kellie Weinert and David Maggs. If you’ve ever ridden the XC track at Awaba, you’ll appreciate that this track has some unforgiving uphills and pretty much keeps your heart rate going for the entire 12km. Kellie and David were leading the race in their second loop when the chain broke on one of the 2UP’s, putting them into 3rd place for the race. This was a great achievement by both of them, especially when you consider that the very same bike they were riding competed in the National Downhill series and scored podium. Huge congrats guys! Whats Next?
There has been a slight change with the XC Grand Prix Series as mentioned below, and great news, Rocky Trail Entertainment have decided to run another ‘Rollercoaster’, Round 3 at Stromlo on 1st September. I encourage everyone to do this race as it is a lot of fun and it doesn’t matter if you are into downhill or cross country, I guarantee you that you won’t be disappointed.
