agreed.. wow.. that is a good deal.. surprised it's still for sale

new.. um.. a Remedy 8 on runout would be close to $2500.. Remedy is a great bike.. not as common as Giant but perhaps not as well specced

Made in the same factories as Giant and Specialized (frame), Taiwanese bike makers that basically said fuck it and made their own frames from the experience they got from making other brand's frames.

Seriously how ofter do we have to hear this? Even if this statement were true it would mean NOTHING to the quality of one bike compared to the other. This 'made in the same factory' nonsense is just that.

I'm assuming that Shimano's XTR is made in the same factory as their Alivio line. Does that mean they are the same?

One factory can manufacture a frame for Yeti, Specialized, Merida, Norco etc. Each company will have it's own design, materials, tolerances, quality control process etc.

The only thing that they will have in common is that they were made under the same roof. Nothing else!

Surely lessions learnt from the input of extra time and money by certain manufacturers will flow over to all manufacturing under the same roof.

Not enough to imply that the quality of one bike will be as good as the other just because they are under the one roof. Also, in this day and age, do you not think that every bike manufacturer looks at what others are doing? Four walls and a roof isn't going to keep any manufacturing techniques to those brands that just come from the one factory.
