2013 Gravity 12 Hour Solo Men Category Positions over Time

Just because too much data is never enough, here's a mashup of the "Category Summary" results over time into a chart for the Solo Men class.

You can see who started strong and finished strong, who blew up or had mechanicals and who crawled their way to the front of the pack.

Sorry it's a bit ugly, that's Excel 2003 for you! Hope there are no mistakes, don't plan on fixing them =)

Lots of laps

If anyone wants a sortable Excel spreadsheet of the lap splits, I've made one up from the PDF. Unfortunately I couldn't automatically add a column for male/female so it's all in one. It does have ages (which I've colour coded). In order to sort on time be sure to use the "Decimal Time" column.

It's interesting to see things this way - a 14 year old and a 40 year old in the top 12 ahead of all the 20 and 30 year olds, for instance.

** Interesting to see that the trails had 2500 laps - no wonder it was getting dry/dusty in some parts. Held up pretty well though !
(My fastest time was 59:29 - amazing that the fastest time was 20 mins quicker)

Yep - they can add up. For a bit of history, the most laps at the Scott 24 was over 16,000 and it added up to a distance of 6.2 times around the planet.
