hi guys
im thinking of building (not thinking, i am going to build it) a pump track in my back yard.
i was wondering if there are any hints/tips/ideas whatever when building one of these.
first of all, the area is 3mX30m.
second, i have a bobcat.
thirdly, i would like to make it a continus loop circuit and i have in my possesion:
5 pallets, (3 photos) some offcut wood (1 photo) a rollover (1 photo) a log (2.3m? 1 photo) a large amount of dirt/crusha dust (berm , 1 photo) and some a smaller berm (1 photo) an a far amount of time and fire power (bobcat).. also a worthy note my inspiration came from 2roots pump track: http://http://www.pinkbike.com/video/50883/ all suggestions are welcome :) (other photos just of the area, sorry, theres 17 of them :S

3 metres is a pretty narrow space to work with, but definitely big enough to build something. Is the track going to go between the fence and the line of trees?

Unless you're planning on getting some dirt delivered you're going to have to dig into the ground - it might be worth thinking about drainage so you don't end up with puddles everywhere when it rains. I think getting the spacing right between rollers is important too.

Some decent hand tools (a spade and a fire rake/mcleod) for shaping and fine tuning after the bobcat could be a good idea too.

I like the wall ride on the 2roots pump track - are you planning on using your pallets for something similar?

third. i was thinking of something similar to 2roots wall ride orperhaps, a wallride berm at the end? also i was thinking of using some for tabletop/manaul etc. ?
