Avid lever blade compatibility/ Xt for downhill

Hey all,

Just a quick query re: compatibility of avid levers between juicys, codes, elixirs?

I bought straitline levers many years ago when juicys were the new thing. My brakes are now pretty outdated and shagged but I still reckon the lever blades are the best I've ever used.

Looking at getting some newer Avids purely because of being able to use the blades.

If they don't fit what do people reckon of XT brakes for downhill use?
I reckon they'd be fine for use in Aus based on what I've tried (maybe thredbo or mystic might be pushing it)

Be fine for everything but the longest steepest runs, buy zee aren't a lot more expensive. I'd go there:thumb:

I think the OP's question is do Straitline lever blades that fit Juicy master cylinders fit other, later model Avid M/C'yls.

Yep bang on. I know I can use the levers as a whole (I might consider doing this) but tbh I sort of want the bling factor of new brakes.

Straitline don't have lever blades listed in their products anymore! :0
Apparently they did make blades for elixirs in the past. Not sure if they would work on current elixir models.
