Love to see an all aussie team....whether it happens is another matter.

I think Rogers would be marquee rider -HTC definitely focusing on sprints and some of his coments post tour suggest maybe HTC isnt working for him. Get him as leader and spend one season focus on one day to week stge races - once get results aim at big tour.

Sign up Robbie for a year - got alot of experience that he could provide to young riders and young team

Sounds exciting. Will have to see what happend and more importantly where and how much money they can raise. That will ultimately decide on how the team fairs.

Reckon that Rogers would be a good fit. Rogers has been getting shafted in the the Tour basically riding as a domestique for Cav. Would be good to see him a the team leader, though he has said that he doesn't see himself a grand tour rider, mor a one week tour rider. Would still be good viewing and there are still heaps of races that they could attend. I doubt HTC would want him leaving though, considering the promotional potential from his win at the Tour of Cali.

Isn't a bit ambitious to think that this will work as a successful business proposal considering cycling's profile in Australia as a sport? Can't we be satisfied that in per capita terms Aussies are very well represented in the existing ProTour teams?

The thing with ProTour teams is that it doesn't have to be a solely Australian team. It would only need to be Aus registered, the team would likely be based in Europe. Due to the appeal and with most races being in the the EU, We don't have to restrict ourselve to just finding Aus sponsors, riders and staff.

There are a few French, US and spanish teams, with local sponsors and predominately, though the rest of the top teams use the best riders and staff for the best money. It is an international sport after all
