very happy with the bike, just one pic of the bike as it is now (you get the idea). a couple of others after an incident at beechworth mtb park, first time up there, came cookin into the step down gap, watched the landing disappear underneath me and flatlanded. twisted and snapped spline off drive side. held onto it and rode it out :) broke the seat as well :eek: no injuries :)
there was a full print of the pedal in the ground where i stomped it.

Chain Guide
Made from poly carbonate (bullet resistant plastic). machined roller from bearing nylon, with roller bearings inserted. works well so far:)Total cost $21 and some time. If it doesn't work i will fork out and buy one.

Wow , Can't believe you rode it out and didn't have a spill.Well done.
i hve looked at this jump a few times but have not yet attempted it.Your story is a common one.a lot of riders seem to overshoot this damn thing the ist time.It looks like you need more pace than what you do obviously.
Did u get a chance to ride the new short downhill at Beechworth while you were there?((before the breakage).
If not i recommend it next time.Has alot of cool but tricky jumps built into the natural rock landscape and a fast long drop down a rockface .
All good fun.

this is next to go, the damping still works in it for now, so im happy at the moment. a chain device is on the shopping list as well

thats a really sweet ride. id love to have that. are they very strong im not sure ive never seen one goin at it .

its been strong enough so far. i bought it with the intention of upgrading as the money came along, or if something broke i would replace it with something better. i hope to race soon, i guess that will be the test for it, (and me) ;)

Nice job on that chain guide nice to see some people thinking outside the normal.
Im curious how come you didnt choose to use a roller for the top?
Bike is looking sweet, its one of the best acs ive seen in awhile! Whats with the stocko pogo stick shock though they feel terrible? upgrade do yourself a favour go for a 3 way swinger or a 4 way.

thanx for the comments:) and to vulgar, im saving for a 4 way to get rid of the stock shock, and the chainguide is a prototype to see if it worked. Im playing with different designs for the top guide, i have another roller that i made the same as the bottom one but it needs to be smaller to fit on.
P.S. this guide is MK 1, there will probably be more as i perfect the design.

that is exactally what my friend did...
Its pretty good man, and smart.
Y spend $200 for one of those if u can make ur own. Personally i think u did a really good job. Its a hard thing to do if u dont konw what ur doin. :D
