It was wet wet wet and from my rough calculation nearly 15% of the field DNF... Still a nice ride and at least the evening 20 km race on the saturday night was dry. It was a really well run event and I hope the organisers raised plenty of $$$ for dry July and the living with cancer foundation!
I think other organisers could bite the bullet and employ an electronic proximity timing solution similar to the one WH used. It appeared flawless with results available almost immediately following the event.
Nonetheless, does anyone have GPS data from the 50 km race on the Sunday? I'd be curious to see what the elevation was on the yellow ring. That climb was cruel!
Cheers,
Dave
