Cheers mate - I was just suggesting there was sensible steel so to speak and hadn't taken offence. I think the allure is its something different.

I admit I'm curious.... BUT there is no need for me based on my riding realities.
Oh none taken mate. Im curious too- cant let the kids have all the fun

Sorry but I just dont get it............................................

Why would you want an overbuilt/ tough/ heavy/ 29er / HT with slack angles. What it is for? What local trails would suit such a beast?
I would happily run my Canfield Steel HT on all my rides but I'm not sure that I would recommend it to everyone. I use my dual sus' on longer rides with the 'go fast' crew on the weekends, it's fast and I want to keep up!

But the HT comes out for my after work rides during the week. Overall speed is less of an issue, fun and learning is what it's all about! Old favorite trails become new and exciting again. A well designed hard tail is very capable in the rough. The margin of error is smaller but the grins just get wider!
