"The impressive Fox 40 returns for 2014, albeit with a brand new chassis to make it without doubt, the best downhill Fox Racing Shox has ever produced. 2014 Fox Float X CTD w/Trail Adjust: $839 RRP

Our Price: $744

"The FLOAT X is a brand new shock for 2014, and has been designed specifically to address the needs of the emerging Gravity Enduro market. Engineered from the ground-up as a replacement for the existing DHX Air rear shock, the FLOAT X CTD utilises an additional piggyback reservoir built into the main body of the shock to house additional damping oil and shim stacks. 2014 Fox 34 TALAS 27.5" 160/130 FIT CTD w/Trail Adjust: $1639 RRP

Our Price: $1393

"The travel adjustable TALAS fork from Fox Racing Shox provides you with the ability to drop the fork travel down to 130mm in order to lower the cockpit position for climbing and tight sections on the trail where you need more weight on the front wheel. Some of the standout features on the 2014 Fox Racing Shox range

tech-talas.jpg

New TALAS
New for 2014, the redesigned TALAS air spring makes a dramatic departure from previous versions by utilising a coil negative spring instead of the negative air spring found in previous TALAS forks. Mimicking the revered smoothness of the FLOAT forks, the new TALAS internals utilise a single O-ring in place of the previous 3, providing a much more supple action that removes any of the previous compromises with choosing a travel-adjustable fork.

- Updated damping tunes for even greater control
- New and improved remote
- Improved air spring curve
- Low friction
- Crisp actuation with precise internal travel range

Mounting Hardware
Small Parts. Big Difference.
The main contact point of shock-and-frame has been redesigned to offer big benefits.

Less Friction: The new resin hardware reduces friction by nearly 50% compared to traditional mounting hardware, allowing the shock to respond faster to all linkage movements.
Clean and durable: O-rings and the flanged bushing design blocks out dirt and mud. In lab tests, shocks submerged in muddy slurry lasted 10 times longer with the new hardware.
No tolls required: All pieces to the hardware system can be mounted to the shock and removed by hand.
Self-contained: Shocks are shopped with all the hardware in place. No more zip ties, cutting or prepping - just mount and ride.

Superlight Chassis
Lightest ever. Just as strong.
The lightest ever FLOAT 26, 27.5 and 29 forks are here with zero sacrifices in stiffness or performance. These short-travel forks feature the same weight-saving engineering as seen in the 34, resulting in unmatched torsional stiffness and trail performance.
