Its not new thou, Azonic did it back in the late 90's direct mount stem

and im pretty sure even more companies did it back then and then it moved on to the direct mount onto the top crown and that was only about 4 or 5 years ago.

Man the front looks high. You probably can't slide the crowns down either because the bars are in the way.

You can always put a longer stem on it and then shift the crowns down.

I think it looks sweet, and would be keen to see how one rides.

You could but it would be less than ideal. Their 'Forward Geometry' has a longer top tube and inline stem to give you a normal riding position.

Get a size larger than you'd normally have then turn the stem backwards.
