wow this is really good, great design, but you have definitely gotta but something around the points where it makes contact with the bike otherwise you are going to end up with scratches all over it

depends on the bearings, it would be advisable to clean it up and get as much of it off as you can, just a bit of sand paper and rust remover or whatever, if its that bad get a new one, and don't forget grease
