I would say stay the hell away from Giants. Why do you think they put them out at such cheap prices? Sure their a big company but their not that big, they cut corners, you'll be replacing pivot bearings in 6 months.

I agree Shimano feel much better than 5's and if you were trail riding it would be the only choice, but if your planning to be downhilling on them than the 5's would probably be the way to go, just be ready for your face to be ripped off if you grab a fist full of brake.

Havnt ridin heaps of dh tracks but Mt Coramba just out off coffs has to be one of the best. Especially after all the recent work we've done on it. If ur up this way deffo give it a go!
