Rim inserts? Yay or nay?
Pointing downhill for most of my runs these days, 70kgs on the bike, 27.5 standard Stans rims but don't have too much spare cash to replace if I break them with mortgage and all.

Not a tenga.

Why is it that Donki can sell those things out in the open like a candy bar or soft drink, but anything similar for females (mostly) is behind a curtain and only for >20s? Some strange shit that.
Answering this here to avoid derailing Whisky chat too much.

It seemed to vary from the stores I went to. The one behind this curtain had some "pro model" marital aids for men.

There was a TV with what appeared to be a man discussing one particular product's technology and features. I think it might be a case of anything explicit looking has to be hidden. There was a store where I saw some products for ladies out on the floor in the open. There was one store where the Tengas had their own curtained section. That might have been for better retail rather than modesty though.

There was even a tenga stand at the airport! The country must he having some sort of connectivity issue or something...

I went behind many a curtain, I'm just so damn curious! I even found a machine that claimed to be a sort of lucky dip where you might get a key to unlock a locker that has some possibly used panties. The other prizes promoted seemed much better.

FWIW I just put my cushcore back in after a few months without. With an “enduro casing” I got multiple flats (basically every second ride) and with a “DH” casing the flats stopped but I destroyed my rear carbon rim. I’m about 75kg on the bike, ride mostly Canberra trails. Bike feels good with the cushcore again

Yep!! I recently just installed Tannus inserts. Got mainly to protect rim. Have had too many dents. Done about 3 rides on it so far

The tubeless version or (not of!!) the version that issues a tube inside?

I'm looking for a rear tyre in 29 for pedal up gravity riding. Currently have the assegai which looks like its more a front tyre to me. I'm usually all in for the minion life, but this big wheeler is going to be doing more pedalling than my other bikes.

I was looking at the schwalbe wicked will, but uncertain how that is going to corner or handle the chunder.
