Which Bike?

Not being at all knowledgable about BMX's, I thought here would be the place to ask, Which BMX for my nephew?

Age 12
Use- Street / park. Skate park, tricks, Street, riding to school etc, a bit of an all-rounder, but leaning towards play rather than race
Price range- $250-$500, but a little lower is better to allow some extra for gyro, pegs etc
Colour- Matt black preferred

Any suggestions?

Failure Mainiac complete are around the $450 mark and are excellent frames. I haven't ridden the Mainiac Complete but I do own a custom Failure mainiac and they are amazing. I mean the wheels and cranks aren't amazing on the complete but for a 12yo they would be perfect.

I don't think you can get matte black though.

Hey in that price range, check out the Academy bmx range, it's an aussie owned company and awesome bikes to get started on!
