In theory that should work. Sometimes manufacturers will have an axle of sorts running through the pivots. That shoukd be a punch out option. Also note that some of the stinky pivots might be bushings rather than bearings.

And if bushings would that make things more complex or less.
Just grease bushings and bolt up, all good

That will depend on things like do the bushing need replacing? What are they made of? Some materials shouldn't be greased. Can you find replacement bushings? I say start popping them open and take a look! Don't be dropping any spacers either...they can be a pain to replace.

Wheels now officially on the way, project now starting to take shape.
Shall hopefully have the balls to start pulling the show apart, or jamming bluetac into linkage bearing holes and just spraying the whole lot with a few rattlecanz, sounds easier anyone ever done this

Well guess what showed up today, yo the wheels, makes the stinky getting closer. Feel sorry for the dude that sent them to me though, $37 for postage.
As you can see Burt is guarding my wheels with great concentration, bless his heart.
More photos to come soon, shall start the paint process soon

Picked up a cheapo norco bigfoot, 30 bucks. Got it for the bb and cranks, turned out that the wheels run fine as well, sun ringle sos, not buckles or anything. Rear brake even works but I don't know what to put that on as I don't hardtail any more.
The stinky is getting close now, still to lazy to paint it yet.
When I get a lot of new parts for the astrix all the parts will be stinkafied

Good find! Looks to be in bloody good nick for $30!
To be honest I recon I could of whacked a cheap chain.on it and an old ring from a defunct crank and on sold for a profit.
These sorts of bikes are hard to move around here, but you have put the thought into my mind and even i moved it on for a small profit I could afford a 10speed zee shifter and slx derailleur from crc

OK the project is dead, got offered 350 for the stinky frame and the norco, I do feel guilty taking that much but at least I am financial enough to start a new project.
No I am not chopsticks, nothing sold was bought off rotorburn. I even got to keep the forks for future use, fucken winning

Hurts. Requires Money. And is nerdy.

It depends how you want to ride. If you're just going to putt along you should be fine. But with that much travel a bit of charging and sending might bring you unstuck.

Follow @Boom King 's recent eBay guide purchase success and be happy.

Dude sent me a photo of his stinky project, motor fitted so I assume he will be buzzing around casino in no time. From what I gather he is not going to hit the trails with it, just cool transport.
GOOOO STINKY
