In light of recent news regarding the imminent demise of CRC I thought what better time to post this ride, the frame of which I purchased from CRC back in the twilight of their heyday. So with a bit of a nod to the CRC of old here it is.
Purchased the frame back in 2013(ish) and proceeded to build up a fair ol' bitsa using some parts (crankset, pedals, BB, wheels, forks) from my first mtb (1996 Giant ATX 860) as well as some new parts bought from CRC. I got my DIY paint on with the rims, stem and pedals and ended up with some real funky colour choices (no one has ever accused me of having good colour coordination). Previous Xmas cheer theme.

Now the parts spec is a little bit more finished/modern (colour scheme also less Xmas and a little bit more B-2 spirit).
Probably won't change anything in the medium term just want to get out and ride it more.

Long term I definitely plan to build a proper single speed hub wheelset with some slightly wider rims and possibly purchase a crankset and bars (depending on the longevity of the AliEx bars and crank).

I built this thing for tooling around the neighbourhood and for pump track duties.

Looks like some fun times ahead! Tells us about those forks? I did some googling and the current release looks nice (36mm stanchions + 20x110mm axle) but there isn't much else detail.

Yes indeed fun times ahead. The forks were a cheap second-hand purchase to replace the Judys.

These ones are also 20x110 and 36mm stations. They are basically a RST Space DJ fork. These model ones got some bad rap back in the day for breaking apparently, but I'm no dirt lumps connoisseur so they won't be having a hard life.

Simple rebound damper in the right leg with dial at the top and an air/coil spring assembly on the left.
