Maybe should be posting this in "you know you're getting old when" section.
Frame - Super custom NFI alloy of indeterminate age ( literally, i don't know what it is/was. Donated to me as a completely stripped take off. It is something alright as it's v.light). My 3 kids 'painted' it with Posca and Molotow markers as they thought a plain white bike was boring ...
Rear shock - Hammies
Front shock/fork - Old Reba i found under the couch. Goes alright so far.
Handlebars - Specialised alloy take offs
Stem - same, 50mm
Headset - yep
Grips - yeti /ODI
Saddle - Old Flite
Seatpost - Thomson bendy
Front brake - XT 2 pot 160
Rear brake - XT 2 pot 160
Cranks - XT
Chainguide - Nup
Chain - Yep, new long one. Shimano Ultegra.
Pedals - VP red ones
Front derailleur - Nup
Rear derailleur - XT 10 speed
Front shifter - Nup
Rear shifter - SLX on super custom mount to Brake lever.
Cassette - Sunrace 11-42
Front hub - Dartmoor 15mm
Rear hub - Giant SL w/ DT skewer. Was beautiful White Industries ENO SS.
Front rim - Sun Ringle 25mm alloy
Rear rim - Giant alloy
Spokes - plentiful.
Nipples - yep, DT brass.
Tyres - Maxxis 2.35 Ardents. They too seem to be breeding under the couch.
Tubes - Nup
Total weight - Surprisingly OK. As a SS with carbon fork/cranks it weighed ~ 9 kg. probably around 10.5 -11 kg now

Rebuilt last weekend as a Hardtail. A new neighbour keen for trails. To mix it up a bit instead of riding the Intense Primer ( he is a roadie with only one Hardtail MTB!!!) i decided to build this one up after my rear SS rim called it quits (splits around spoke holes).

As it was. good times were had.

Most recently been dirt commuting on it with 42/17 SS and carbon drops. Goes alright on the flat, but as i now live 1/2 way up Belair Road it was struggle town after an 80km day to get home (note coffee).

That's cool. The kiddos did a great job of the paint work too! Have you got used to the fork compressing yet? :p

Tell me about it, I'm 100m from the top of Belair Rd. Used to be a 300vm struggle after nightshift

Nice HT, reckon the drop bar SS was cool though.

That farm of cables out the front includes a handle bar mounted lock out. It was in the box with the Reba. Are they still a thing? Only really using squish on downs and then only Randles X over, no A line stuff! Have Intense and Banshee for that.
Long live #gravelburn
Whirrrr,Whirrrr,Whirrr,Whirrrr...Jump...Whirrrr,Whirrrr...
If i can be bothered bleeding them, will try with drops and SRAM red hydro brifters. Was cable BB7's and tektro levers off some one on here.
Will be a Real Frankenbike!
