    Santa Cruz Heckler question

Hmmm. It's been a while since I last posted here! (it's winter and it's too cold here in NZ to ride... :o) My Heckler is still running a Float RLC up front, Float RL in the rear, Juicy sevens, with full XT drivetrain. New/recent additions are a Thomson seatpost, a sexy blue Hope QR seatclamp...

    Introducing the Girls

Name: Celia Age: 24 next Tuesday! Location: Dunedin, New Zealand Riding since: MTBing since 2003 Bike: Santa Cruz Heckler, Giant XTC, Giant OCR3 Ride: Too chicken to partake in real DH at speed, but I do love techy DHs in my own time - still haven't quite got the nerve to do drops yet. But...

    Its here!!

Awesome! :) Good to see a girls only forum up here. I'm Celia and from New Zealand. My parents moved to Oz a few years ago (so does that count? ;) ). They're in Wollongong. Last time I went visiting there was a DH event I saw advertised around but never got the chance to go and scope it out...

    Santa Cruz Heckler question

Pretty sure I've got a 60 or 70mm Truvativ Team stem on at the moment with 5 degree rise. Am running upside-down right now so it's at -5 degrees. The next thing I'll be getting is a Thompson seatpost (to replace the cheap "atomic" seatpost I've got on at the moment), and some lighter Conti...

    Santa Cruz Heckler question

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I figured since I started it, I have a right to do so ;) Update: Have recently purchased some Fox Float RLCs to put on the front, plus the stem is reversed, AND I've got some 1" riser bars instead of the 2" that was on before. The bike rides ALOT better now...

Renee Junga - Injured at the World Championships

Over here in NZ, some people are doing some fundraising for her and have raised over $4000 through collection buckets in Rotorua, bank account donations, and through Vorb (an internet site). I think the current aim is to collect $10,000(NZ) in total. If you want to help contribute, check out...

    Santa Cruz Heckler question

Yeah, I've had the bike since 2004 so it's got a mixture of components on it. As a "poor student" I can't really afford to update the bikey to all new stuff though. Ah well, it's running quite well. I flipped the stem around yesterday, so will see how that responds. I was actually going to...

I'm imagine it'd be hanging around until at least the Worlds in August. But not too sure about public access. I'm pretty sure the Worlds DH course isn't public access, so neither would the BSX course be. :( Someone feel free to correct me though :)

    Santa Cruz Heckler question

Thanks for the advice guys :) I think I've got a Fox Float RL rear shock lined up to replaced the 5th element in the rear, so we'll see how that rides when I get it.

    Santa Cruz Heckler question

Nice Santa Cruzes! I'm jealous! You've got two! I've got a supershort stem on the bike at the moment (60mm I think!). It was originally set up with more of a DH focus, so it's got DH tyres and 2" DH riser bars on it. Will probably get some lighter tyres too, and some 1"...

    Santa Cruz Heckler question

Hey just a quick question - How do you think my small 2003 Heckler would ride with 130mm Fox Talas RLCs and a rear Fox air shock? Pic of bike here =} http://www.vorb.org.nz/photos-view-7099-197-normal-0.html I've been thinking about how to make my bike a bit more versatile and...

    My tiny heckler!

Hey just a quick question guys - How do you think the bike would ride with 130mm Fox Talas RLCs and a rear Fox air shock? I've been thinking about how to make the bike a bit more versatile and hopefully a lot lighter, and I think the Shermans and coil shock are probably the heavier bits...

    My tiny heckler!

Yeah I like the straight top tubes too. Not too big a fan of the toptubes on the new Nomads, V10s and Jackals either, but to each their own I suppose! The idea of having a toptube curve towards you doesn't really appeal! Yup it's a real small frame, but since I'm only 5'3" it suits me fine...
