Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I figured since I started it, I have a right to do so ;) Update: Have recently purchased some Fox Float RLCs to put on the front, plus the stem is reversed, AND I've got some 1" riser bars instead of the 2" that was on before. The bike rides ALOT better now...

Yeah, I've had the bike since 2004 so it's got a mixture of components on it. As a "poor student" I can't really afford to update the bikey to all new stuff though. Ah well, it's running quite well. I flipped the stem around yesterday, so will see how that responds. I was actually going to...

I'm imagine it'd be hanging around until at least the Worlds in August. But not too sure about public access. I'm pretty sure the Worlds DH course isn't public access, so neither would the BSX course be. :( Someone feel free to correct me though :)

OK not quite the Talas's I was after, but Vanillas are a pretty close second :cool: Complete with a Fox Float RL rear shock. Yummy!

Thanks for the advice guys :) I think I've got a Fox Float RL rear shock lined up to replaced the 5th element in the rear, so we'll see how that rides when I get it. :cool:

Nice Santa Cruzes! :cool: I'm jealous! You've got two! :rolleyes: I've got a supershort stem on the bike at the moment (60mm I think!). It was originally set up with more of a DH focus, so it's got DH tyres and 2" DH riser bars on it. Will probably get some lighter tyres too, and some 1"...

Running an "equation" wheelset (not too sure who makes them! can't find much on google about them) and some Tioga Factory DH tyres.

Yeah I like the straight top tubes too. Not too big a fan of the toptubes on the new Nomads, V10s and Jackals either, but to each their own I suppose! The idea of having a toptube curve towards you doesn't really appeal! Yup it's a real small frame, but since I'm only 5'3" it suits me fine...
