Helmets - What's Your Go To?

I'm going down a rabbit hole of helmet hell trying to figure out what's the lightest and strongest! I had a neck injury years ago (hit a tree with my face coming off my bike) and now I have a permanent tremor, so now need a light helmet as my neck gets fatigued and makes my tremor worse.... recommendations please!!!! TIA

Recently got a Fox Proframe full face if thats what your after. (750grams)
Does the job and super light.
Its the exact same fit measurements as my Fox Speedframe (if you happen to know your size)
As for other helmets try them on and see what fits nicely and then go shopping online if thats where you can find the best deal.

I had a POC helmet, the full face fit fine at Pushies when trying on and so did the roadies version, but for some reason the MTB one (online purchase) had a different shape to it, lesson learnt about buying online and not trying the exact model in store.

Edit: Leatt also have one thats supposed to be super light aswell.

Buy what fits your dome best - ignore brand (and even price to a point).

Everyone’s head is different and different helmets can fit differently. So it’s 100% a personal thing.

Unless you need a full face you can save some weight and get most of the protection by going with a 3/4 lid like the Fox Dropframe. Very happy with mine I wear it on anything that doesn't require a full face.

Virgintia Tech independently test helmets for safety. Maybe worth consulting this if that's your primary concern.

Keep in mind they don't have all models/options, but it's a starting point

I got a Giro recently and the balance is NFG. Unless I've got it clamped around my skull so tightly it distorts my vision it always falls forward and I'm forever pushing it back up. Disappointing for $400 in my books

I buy helmets and wear them around the house for a few hours, thats the only reason I found that POC helmet got tight on the temples after a few hours and gave me a headache.
Fox Proframe passed the check, almost had to take it off for a zoom meeting so it doesnt look like I'm at the trails
