I'm sure 510s are good but Vans have been fine for me for years. Waffle sole grips pedals really well. The thinner soled shoes like Era or classics give a good feel around the pedal. If you want more cushion go for a TNT or Era Pro. With that said, if you're stacking from slipping the pedals...
