    MRP Ramp control

You're absolutely right in that regarding the air chamber dimple. That issue is solved by modifying the air shaft. It's very much a hack job though, hence why that particular kit combo isn't listed on the website.

    MRP Ramp control

This may interest you, though I'm not sure it will be within your price range or not. Replaces the entire Dual Position air spring with a DVC (basically a variable volume token) & allows you to independently adjust primary positive, secondary positive & negative air springs. The kit...

    Frankenpike!

Sure have, thanks for bumping the thread. I've built up a 29er & 650b Pike for demo. The 650b fork is going out to the boys at Defcon Cycles for testing. 29er available for testing.

    modified coil rear shock?

I've thought about doing this before, but the problem that might stop it from working is the rebound port in the shaft. See photo with rebound port circled in red. As the shock rebounds to full extension, the rebound port slides in behind the DU bush in the seal head and seals off the port...

    modified coil rear shock?

Hmm I meant donor shock that is of any length other than the desired 200 x 57. You end up using half the parts (i.e. HSC assembly, rebound piston, both eyelet assemblies etc) as they are the same through all shock lengths. Thinking about it now, you'll be forking out for the donor shock...

    modified coil rear shock?

Can be done if you're competent with tools. The RC4 is pretty easy to work on and you won't need too many specialised tools. Provided you've got the donor shock & all the parts work, the parts you'll need to change over are the shaft, reservoir, body and metering rod. Bear in mind that Fox...

    sight shock upgrade options

What are the shock dimensions on the Norco Sight? I got a spare RS Monarch Plus 216 x 63 sitting at home which I can lend you if you're in Brisbane. Judging from the pic, looks like the Monarch Plus will work.

    Frankenpike!

I've got the bits back from the machinist & will be getting these fitted on a few local test riders bikes. Will be interesting to see how everyone gets along with the mods. I've also set up a Facebook page to keep interested peeps updated with how it all progresses. Have a lookie here...

    Puzzling fox 32 evo problem

Might sound crazy but it may be that the stanchion tube is loose in the crown. The boys at NSD have seen this before with the Fox 32. Do you notice any wiggle where the stanchion meets the crown?

    Pike custom tuning

That's even better info here! As you've described, the check plate is the "mid valve". It has about 1mm of travel before the inner diameter hits the shoulder of the bolt & starts to flex. Would you ever try fettling with the mid valve shim stack? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Frankenpike!

Cheers mate, will refer to it correctly going forward. Funny cos in all the earlier posts I referred it correctly as a "damper"

    Frankenpike!

I got 3 sets available for testing. Unfortunately they were machined out of tolerance so I gotta go to a local machinist to correct them. Hopefully will be finished in a weeks time. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

    Frankenpike!

Great info, I'm running a couple of 0.4mm gap shims which I can replace with 0.1mm shims should it be required. Plenty of scope for shim stack tuning. Also should have a bit of meat left around the ports if I need to enlarge them in the future. I am keen to chuck the forks on a dyno if I...

Thread update! I've slowly been making progress with this project & it's been a while since I updated this thread. Fair bit has happened so I'll try & keep this post brief but informative. New business venture I have started my own little company - SD Components Pty Ltd. The intention is to...
