This is what I've been riding around on for the last four years. After a full service, including new chain and tyres, I finally took it out to the Youies for some actual mountain biking around the Kurrajong tracks, and it goes alright!

Frame - Yes
Rear shock - No
Front shock/fork - Recon Silver TK SA SL 29 (that's a lot of letters!)
Handlebars - XC Flat bar 31.8mm
Stem - Specialized 3D
Headset - I dunno, whatever it came with
Grips - Specialized lock-ons
Saddle - Carve SL hollow cro-mo rail
Seatpost - Long!
Brakes - Shimano M505 160/180
Cranks - Hollowtech Octalink 42/32/24
Chain - SRAM something-or-other
Pedals - JetBlack flats
Front derailleur - Shimano Deore
Rear derailleur - Shimano XT Shadow
Shifters - Deore 10spd Rapidfire
Cassette - I always hated cassettes. They sounded like crap, and tangled too easily.
Front hub - Specialized branded Formula, apparently
Rear hub - See above
Rims - Carve Disc 29
Spokes - all present and accounted for
Nipples - I say!
Tyres - Specialized Ground Control 2.1 Sport
Tubes - yep!
Total weight - pretty reasonable, all things considered. The rider, on the other hand...

I liked my crave (new name for carve) and ended up selling it to Duckmeisters mate.

Great bike for fun flowy XC for sure!

Oh hell yeah!

I got so used to just riding it around the river on paved tracks trying to get my fitness up, that I forgot what it was actually for. It surprised the hell out of me when I finally got it on the trails.
