You've just won $5,000,000..............what do you do with it?

What would you do with a big lotto win, say $5,000,000.
I would:
-Buy a house in New Zealand. Have several track cars to use at Highlands Motorsport Park. There'd be tons of room for lots of happy dogs too.
-I love collectibles; I'd have so many model cars, character statues from movies (Star Wars, Batman etc). I'd build a room purely for that stuff.
-I'd love to have a sweet workshop with three phase power and get back into crafting metal stuff. I've been an office guy for twenty years and really miss my manufacturing days.
-I reckon I've got some spare cash to get a place in Whistler too.

What would you do?

So a rumpus room? Or just a toy room?

I'd...
Buy up the rest of my strata.

Buy a powder house in Japan.

Work a lot less.

Actually there is a few very tiny 1 chair lift ski field in Japan that I'd like to own one of...and have change out of 5 mil.

yes...this is the correct answer!
and lots of escorts...the 4 wheeled variety
and probably build something like Rays Indoor Bike park, because it would be cool

Didnt pay $250 for this custom title
I'd spend it trying to find a passion once I've paid the mortgage off.
Nothing I do gets me out of bed with much energy, but there must be something out there
I'd also pay someone to get me fit as I struggle to do that myself

I might just be able to stretch it to buy a one bedroom apartment in Hobart at this rate
Maybe a bike that doesn't break when you ride it?

Build a shipping container sized self contained cabin with all the mod cons and a satellite dish and have it airlifted by helicopter deep into the south west of Tasmania.

pay off all the mortgages of my family and closest friends, pop a mill each in my kids super and mine, buy a bespoke Baum road bike, some expensive Mountain bike, get an EV, set up a fund for grants for community projects I believe in, never fly economy again, and chuck in my job and retrain as a metal sculptor. So 5M won't stretch far enough, need at least 10M.

If I had 1 million in cash now at 49yrs old, invested right... would take me to retirement age when I could get hold of my super, though I am putting a lot into my mortgage(s) until 55 when paid off, now 1.5 mil would definitely do.

5 million would be a game changer... not so much with properties all over the place like yous guys but might get a apartment in Launceston and run it as an AirBnb so I could visit when I needed a Tassie fix.

There would definitely be a few International hols that I probably wouldn't be doing while working towards retirement. Antarctica for one then work my way through the Lonely Planet top 10. Also I plan to do a cycling lap of the homeland one day, the idea was to buy a cheap campervan for the shuttle bunny to drive and do a lap over 6-8 weeks but corona has fucked up the cheap camper market in Ireland.

Might be a few unnecessary bikes appear too ;)
