You know you're getting old when ...

used to go out at 10pm for headliner dj's who started at 2 or 4am, but those same djs are getting old too so gigs that start at 2 and are over by 10pm work well all around.
Sounds all very civilised.😃 It's the late nights that bugger me these days.

You wake up and the left rear side of your ribcage is a bit delicate. WTF did I do yesterday? So you work back through the day. Did I lift anything heavy? No. Did I bump into something? No. What's Tuesday??? Bin day. Aha! Was the bin especially heavy? No. Oh yes. Then you remember. You were too lazy to lace your boots and on the return journey you tripped over your own feet. Cartwheeled up the concrete driveway for about 10m trying not to faceplant on the wet concrete. Windmilling like a loon in the damp 9C night. Yeah that will do it. Moron.

YKYGO when a new car causes you to pull a thigh muscle.

In my Defence. In 12 years of driving dual-cab 4x4s, the last 6 months has been the only stretch without side steps. Toyota in their infinite cost saving ways don't put them on the base model Hilux. And it's also significantly taller than the D-Max I just returned. It all means I have to hoik my hip/leg higher than I used to.

It's been a painful few days.

Yesterday I was walking out to the living room after waking up, sneezed mid-step and tweaked my back.

If it wasn’t so difficult, I would have just turned around and gone back to bed hoping the next day would be better

Should've asked for a Corolla...

At 52, I'm a bit short on hair but it's only grey on my temples and patches through my beard. My chest hair actually went all grey first.

A dude I knew through sailing was starting to get grey hairs at 17.....!

I had a couple of friends in high school who were getting thin on top early. I had ridiculously thick and curly hair long hair (it made it down to the elbows) for many years. Then suddenly at the end of my 20s it made an express exit. Now when I see people I associated with at school and uni they are rather surprised.

The beard though...fuck its ugly! Always has been a mottled mess of colours and stiff as a dunny brush. Best kept away from the public outside of snow trips.

Anyone else's beards turned into fencing wire as you've got older?

Mine has always been like a wire brush. Well probably not always, but once it wasnt bum fluff anymore...i had stoooooopid big side burns on and off for a lot of years and they were immune to fabric softener.

I’m a ranga that has gone grey or more accurately white. I recently regrew my hair longer and coupled with my pasty Irish skin and my white 3 day growth it made me look like I’d been attacked by a bag of flour so cut it short again

YKYGO when FB starts throwing Polar hair colour shampoo ads at you. Cunts.
