You know you're getting old when ...

No. I had them extracted at various times and had nothing there anyway. I grind my teeth and cracked them. Have to wear a mouthguard to bed. Anyway the implant is a metal base that gets implanted into the jaw bone. Once the bone grows and there is union and it becomes permanent then they can attach the artificial teeth, which takes about 6 months. All this means is that if these teeth get damaged or worn you can "easily" replace them.
Steel jaw inserts you say?

Ykygow you have one of those encounters with a certifiable meth head and resist the urge to ‘get off the bike’.
Had a nut job swerve in at me a few times , pull in front and stop and when I bunny hopped up onto kerb to go around him , actually drove his dual cab up onto footpath!
At this stage I just found a gap and headed across the road into oncoming traffic and the safety of opposite footpath.
In years gone by I might have stopped and given him a limp but now CBF and just wanna get home .
I guess he really didn’t like being held up at roundabout to wait the 3 seconds for a bike to go around…

can't wait 3 seconds but happy to spend 5-10 minutes arguing about it. Must be mortgage pressure!

You know your getting old when the Tas Gravity Enduro series comes to town well George Town last weekend and I am umming and arring whether I give it a shot being that I ride those trails alot.

Well lucky I didn't the fastest Ebiker down Ligusdis did it in 2.00 and then it was back to 2.05 for the rest of the pack. At my best I can do it in 3.10. That's on a trail I like. The jump trails I was so far behind it would of been super embrassing.

Oh well at least I can still do those trails all be it slowly. Such is life.:(

I’ve never done a race expecting to be at the pointy end. No chance. You just slot into a bunch your age, your pace, have some good yarns and race those guys and good times roll in.
Oh and Moorey. If he’s racing it’s on like donkey kong. I still haven’t gotten over him pipping me by 500th of a second on Cressy Descent years ago!

I was going to Hobart with my wife so I couldn't race but I've picked up some sort of flu thing so didn't go to Hobart either. Still battling with it! I just hope I'm better before the Iron Torathon this weekend. 😬
